About the Role:
In this role, you will be supporting the strategic planning and day-to-day operational activities associated with EDQ’s infrastructure charging policies. You will contribute to policy development, stakeholder engagement, analysis, reporting, and the coordination of activities that support infrastructure planning and delivery outcomes, including:
Preparation of financial models, including undertaking cost estimation, validating inputs, and drafting schedules of works for review.
Undertake and review complex infrastructure charge calculations, provide informed advice to applicants and internal teams, and resolve moderately complex policy interpretation matters.
Conducting scope and cost assessments, preparing recommendations for consideration by managers, and overseeing accurate tracking and reporting of offset workloads.
Prepare and support the implementation of business and process improvements, policies, procedures and guidelines related to offsets, infrastructure charges and financial matters.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate auditing, cleansing and quality assurance of data.
Work closely with planning and engineering teams to strengthen financial governance practices.
About You:
You have a strong passion for analytics and demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, along with the ability to contribute positively to a workplace culture that values inclusion and diversity. Your experience includes:
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including quality assurance of datasets, working with complex formulas, and preparing structured financial inputs.
Demonstrated experience interpreting infrastructure charges policies and calculating infrastructure charges, for example under the Planning Act 2016, Economic Development Act 2012 or similar legislation.
Exposure to cost‑recovery financial models, or a willingness to develop capability in this area.
Experience in infrastructure offset administration would be advantageous
Familiarity with GIS systems or an interest in developing skills in spatial tools would be advantageous.
Attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritise tasks across multiple work streams
