About the Role:
Join EDQ’s Finance and Digital team as Director, Procurement. You will lead strategic procurement across EDQ, guiding sourcing decisions, strengthening policy and systems, and helping the organisation deliver its priorities with probity and value for money.
Lead the development and implementation of EDQ-wide procurement strategy, frameworks and policies
Partner with business areas and external stakeholders on strategic sourcing and procurement matter
Advise senior and executive leaders on complex, sensitive and high-risk procurement and contract management issues
Develop scalable procurement approaches aligned with whole-of-government frameworks and policy
Review procurement submissions, reports and Ministerial correspondence, providing clear advice on complex policy matters
Lead and develop the procurement team, embedding ethical decision-making, probity and transparency
Improve procurement processes and systems while managing team performance, resources and priorities
About You:
You are an experienced procurement leader who can set strategic direction, build trusted partnerships and give sound advice on complex matters. You bring a practical focus on value for money, ethical practice and developing others.
Extensive strategic procurement and policy experience, including the development of organisation-wide strategies
Strong knowledge of government procurement frameworks, probity and value for money principles
Ability to provide clear, well-reasoned advice on sensitive or high-risk procurement and contract matters
Proven leadership of teams, with a focus on capability, accountability and quality outcomes
Advanced stakeholder engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills
Excellent judgement, communication and organisational skills in a changing environment
A commitment to inclusive leadership, continuous improvement and social, environmental and economic outcomes
